The hotel had a stunning view of the square and beautiful buildings but faced issues with brown water in the taps, noisy surroundings, and cold temperature overnight. However, the location was ideal for exploring the historic center on foot.

Rooms
5.0
Despite the gorgeous view, my stay was affected by dark brown water from the taps for quite a while. The room was freezing, and I almost got hypothermia overnight. However, the room offered a lovely view of the square and the surrounding beautiful buildings.
Service
6.0
The service was a mix of organized efforts but lacking in effective communication. While they helped to dry some items, they were not good at explaining situations and tended to walk away without clarification. On the upside, they did assist me in printing an e-ticket.
Location
7.0
The hotel is situated in the central area, but the noise from honking horns all night was disturbing. Despite the noise, the location was visually pleasing and perfect for exploring the historic center on foot.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was subpar with limited food variety and small portions. Breakfast was poor and only available after 7 a.m., without a buffet. They even refused an extra glass of juice. However, the ambiance made the dining experience slightly better.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were nothing to write home about, with a lackluster dining experience and issues with the taps. However, the Presidential Suite was quite impressive.

Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The location was excellent, overlooking the square and right on Plaza San Martin, which was fantastic. However, the rooms seemed to have mostly original furnishings, giving a dark and dingy vibe. The service was a bit hit or miss, with a nice and clean hotel but unfriendly staff that seemed distant and lacked English proficiency.

My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The rooms were enormous, overlooking the Main Street, and although a little chilly, they were HUGE and gorgeous, providing a quiet retreat. The service was top-notch, with the staff always very helpful and polite, greeting you with a smile and being old-time attentive. The location was central, with easy access to tourist spots, especially being on Plaza San Martin, however slightly overpriced. The dining experience was delicious, with made-to-order dishes and fresh squeezed juice. The facilities were excellent, making my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

The hotel has a very nostalgic ambiance with huge and spacious rooms that could use some freshening up, though the musty odor might remind you of Ernest Hemingway's era. The service was professional and friendly but felt somewhat distant at times. The central location is perfect if you want to explore Lima, despite potential noise issues. The dining experience was a mix of positives and negatives, and the facilities offered their charm with some quirks.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of historic Lima, but the noise levels were quite high throughout the night. The service was exceptional, with staff always ready to assist, but the dining experience left much to be desired with very inadequate options. The rooms had a strong musty odor and overlooked a noisy side street, however, the facilities were decent.

I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious suite at this hotel, with separate areas for a lobby, lounge, dressing room, bedroom, and bathroom. The room was elegantly decorated with period furniture and boasted high ceilings and Juliette balconies, but it definitely needs a significant investment to update it to modern standards.
